Your donation creates affordable
housing for the aged

Colin, in his new Anglicare accommodation. Donations helped to build his Supportive Accommodation.

Colin had been given 24 hours to live. Miraculously, surgery saved his life. But his recovery was long and, after 20 weeks in hospital, Colin found himself homeless at age 86. All because he lost his room in a boarding house. Like 1 in 3 Australians over 65, Colin was living below the poverty line. On average our pensioners are spending from 70-90% of their income on rent.

Colin’s support worker directed him to Anglicare and we housed him in Leichhardt (Sydney) through our Supportive Accomodation Program. He has his own room, bathroom and kitchen. And, more importantly he’s part of a community again.

Will you make a donation and help us to build more affordable housing for others like Colin? A place where they can live with dignity and peace of mind.

We don’t expect you to fund the building of a new house, but you can help to make our next housing project become a home.
